Commercial kitchen floor coating and restaurant floor coating jobs live under a different kind of stress than a dry warehouse aisle — standing grease, hot degreasers, steam-cleaning cycles and constant foot traffic in wet shoes. Facility floors carry more than a color scheme — they carry the safety and traffic-management plan for everyone walking or driving on them. We build slip-resistant broadcast, striping and color-coded aisles directly into the coating rather than painting them on afterward, so the markings wear at the same rate as the floor around them instead of peeling early.

Florida's combination of humidity and a shallow water table pushes moisture up through a slab-on-grade floor at rates most coating manufacturers never designed for in the Midwest or Northeast. When that vapor gets trapped under a film that can't handle it, the result is blistering, delamination and a floor that needs to be torn out and redone within a year or two.

We test slabs for moisture-vapor emission before finalizing a system, and where readings run high we build a moisture-mitigating primer into the spec instead of hoping the topcoat holds. It's a cheaper conversation to have before installation than after a floor fails.

Detailing

Cove base, trench drains and sanitary detailing

Food-service and industrial floors get judged on the details more than the field coating — cove base transitions at the wall, sealed trench drains, and radius corners that don't trap water or debris. We integrate cove base into the same seamless polyurea system rather than caulking a separate strip afterward, and we detail drain surrounds so the floor pitches cleanly instead of ponding at the edges.

The same sanitary detailing applies in industrial settings with wash-down zones, equipment pads and process areas where standing water or spilled product needs somewhere clean to go.

Joints

Control and construction joints are the first place a floor coating fails under repeated forklift and cart traffic — the coating edge chips, the joint filler pumps out, and debris starts collecting in the gap. In heavy-traffic aisles and load-transfer zones we detail joints with a semi-rigid filler and, where duty cycle calls for it, an armored joint system that takes the wheel impact instead of the floor edge.

A polyurea or polyaspartic floor still needs a maintenance rhythm — routine cleaning that matches the chemicals your facility already uses, and a recoat schedule for the highest-wear lanes before they wear through to the substrate. We set that schedule with you at handoff so a forklift aisle gets a topcoat refresh on its own timeline instead of waiting until the whole floor needs replacing.
